When the Druj first invaded Reikos in 367YE they quickly laid siege to Haros Water. In order to buy time for local villagers to reach the safety of the town, and to allow a trio of Suns to escape with warning, Exarch Caiphas and many of the Council left the Chapterhouse and met the Druj on the fields outside Haros.
Together the Exarch and the Council -all powerful Magisters- enacted an unknown ritual to slow the advance of the Druj.

Little is known about the ritual, apart from it used a Crystal Bell as its focus. The Crystal Bell was later recovered from Reikos by Escon who was Ehud, and returned to the Chapter.
